Enough: Living in the Kingdom
This week, John dives into Colossians 3 and preaches on what it means to live in a way that promotes Kingdom culture over worldly culture.
Colossians 3:1-3, 3:4
What Paul is talking about here is the Christian approach to Kingdom culture.
1. THERE’S THE KINGDOM OF GOD (ABOVE) AND THE CULTURES OF THE EARTH (BELOW).
2. THE KINGDOM OF GOD BEGINS, NOT THE MOMENT YOU DIE, BUT THE MOMENT YOU RECEIVE JESUS.
3. CHRISTIAN, WE DON’T LIVE CULTURE UP, BUT KINGDOM DOWN.
Col 3:5-6 1. Sexual immorality. 2. Impurity. 3. Passion, 4. Evil desire, 5. Covetousness. WHATEVER IT IS THAT IS IN THE PROCESS OF KILLING YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD, YOU'VE GOT TO PUT THAT TO DEATH.
3:6 the wrath of God is coming - GOD IS NOT NEGLIGENT, HE'S PATIENT.
3:7-10 DON'T BE LIKE YOU, BE LIKE JESUS.
